GRP IMS Track Measuring Instrument (CPIII-Constrained Type)
This series of products is authorized for production by Amberg Technologies AG of Switzerland. Based on the "relative + absolute" measurement method, it is equipped with the mature Amberg Rail software, as well as domestically-manufactured measuring trolleys, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Beidou Satellite Navigation System.
The inertial measurement unit and total station (or Beidou Satellite Navigation System) are integrated into a single measuring trolley, enabling rapid and precise measurement of track geometric parameters. The product can not only replace track inspection gauges for daily inspection of track geometric conditions, but also be used to guide track fine-tuning operations (such as fastener replacement or large machine tamping). It features convenient track access and high measurement efficiency.
The measurement results can be imported into RT Track Simulation Fine-tuning Software to calculate the fine-tuning values for ballastless tracks or the lifting and lining values for ballasted tracks. The lifting and lining value scheme for ballasted tracks can be imported into the large machine WinALC control system to achieve digital operation of large maintenance machines.
Main Features:
- High Precision:The high-precision inertial measurement unit delivers a relative measurement accuracy of 0.7 mm for a 60 m chord. With the absolute constraint of a total station, it can achieve a relative measurement accuracy of 2 mm for a 300 m chord and an absolute measurement accuracy better than 2 mm.
- High Efficiency:The trolley is operated in dynamic pushing mode, with the inertial measurement unit continuously recording track parameters. An absolute constraint check using a total station is performed on 6–8 CPIII control points every 120 m. The total station adopts the latest non-leveling measurement technology, which saves a great deal of time. The overall operation efficiency can reach 2–4 km/h depending on the constraint method adopted.

Intelligent Data Processing
The post-data processing software has been fully upgraded. It intelligently optimizes the lifting and lining value data for ballasted tracks and automatically calculates the fastener adjustment values for slab track.
